Hey, I’m Mark! I’m an award-winning creative with 6 years of experience in the sports design industry. My work has garnered recognition, including being honored as a Hashtag Sports 2022 Creator of Color - an award given to minority marketers and creatives at the intersection of sports, content, and entertainment that have played a vital role in diversifying fan audiences and shaping brands.

Throughout my career, both in-house and freelance, I’ve been able to collaborate and produce creative for some of the biggest brands in the world of sports and entertainment: ESPN, Madden, Sacramento Kings, Boras Corp, Sony Music, Sorare, Omaha Productions, University of Oregon Athletics, and more.

During my time at ESPN, I made a significant impact as their first fully remote college employee. Specializing in creating visuals that celebrated the most iconic moments in sports, I collaborated closely with social editors to generate innovative and engaging content ideas. My designs were instrumental in driving cross-platform engagement and amplifying key company initiatives as they directly contributed to an astounding 37M+ likes and 38M+ views.

Beyond my design expertise, I actively participated in ESPN's diversity and inclusion efforts. I contributed to important conversations surrounding events such as #StopAsianHate, International Women's Day, Pride Day, and Hispanic Heritage Month. Notably, I led efforts to enhance ESPN's coverage of Black female athletes, providing key insights and strategy that led to significant improvements in their WNBA coverage. Our team’s commitment to amplifying diverse voices extended throughout the Tokyo Olympics and beyond.

Since joining Sorare, I’ve demonstrated I can design at scale and my impact extends beyond social media. Working with ACDs, I’ve built out content templates and motion toolkits to meet the demands of daily content creation and retain brand consistency. I’ve also created Figma component sets for the brand, product, and engineering teams. I also notably co-designed our 2022 NFT global football cards, which had to innovate on the previous designs, accommodate numerous constraints, and flexibly adapt to thousands of players’ names and multiple special edition versions. When expanding into the U.S. market, I played a meaningful role in beta-testing, influencing product and gameplay design, and ultimately promoting the launch of our MLB and NBA product. Finally, I proudly spearheaded initiatives like the "Stand for Peace" special edition card, raising $136k to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

As Sorare expanded from 40 to over 150 employees, I’ve shown my ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, juggle multiple work streams, and collaborate cross-functionally all while consistently delivering high-quality design work. As a quick learner, I can quickly scale myself up to meet ever-changing needs. For example, I’ve embraced emerging technologies like Midjourney and AR to expedite the prototyping and ideation processes.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, but currently based in Philadelphia, PA, I’ve now embraced the Philly sports fandom. I also enjoy playing basketball and exploring the outdoors with my wife and dog.
